Title page: title, all authors, affiliations, corresponding-author details and ORCID where available.
Abstract & keywords: use a structured abstract for original research where appropriate and provide concise keywords.
Main text: present objectives, methods, results, discussion and conclusions clearly; distinguish observations from interpretation.
Declarations: ethics approval, informed consent where applicable, funding, competing interests, author contributions, data availability and acknowledgements.
References: use a consistent biomedical citation style and verify every citation against the source.
Research reporting
Authors should use established reporting guidelines appropriate to the study design and provide sufficient methodological detail to permit critical appraisal and, where feasible, reproducibility.
